How We Started

The name came about from a literal coconut cup that Odian carried around as his cup. His friends often would joke about how he never left his cup regardless of where he went. So it’s safe to say just as how he physically brought that cup with him, He also brought culinary skills with him wherever he went.

We Went Global

In 2021, he launched In the Kitchen on IG, featuring guests and home-cooked meals. This grew into Seafood Saturdays, a pre-order delivery service, and a sold-out summer fish fry. To elevate the experience, we hosted Pon di Farm: The Coconut Cup Experience, drawing attention to the farm and leading to intimate dinners for 2–20 guests. As word spread, requests came in for us to recreate the experience in homes both locally and abroad

So We Started Growing

The team started with a group of friends, who we’ve known over the years. It became routine for us to work together because we saw the bigger picture. Over time, Odian Began mentoring, which added a few new people to the team who came on, and became like family.

We've Hit New Peaks

Major Milestones for the Coconut Cup would most certainly be the 1 million followers and counting on Instagram and the 400k+ followers on our Tiktok. We were recently featured of the Tamron Hall show which was a great feature in expanding the brand.

Where We Are Going

Our short-term goals include launching branded products like knife sets, clothing, and limited drops, along with a book and cookbook. We’re exploring an event space with a commercial kitchen and expanding our mentorship program. With an online store for merchandise inspired by our setups, we aim to share Jamaican culture and cuisine more widely—and keep growing every day.
